Ghanaian actress Priscilla Opoku Agyeman, popularly known as Ahoufe Patri, has opened up about facing demands for sexual favours in exchange for acting opportunities early in her career.
Speaking in an interview on Max TV, she revealed that the issue extends beyond the entertainment industry and affects various professions.
“The practice of trading sex for opportunities isn’t limited to showbiz; it happens in many other sectors as well,” she stated.
Recalling an encounter from when she was 19, she shared, “I met a producer who showed interest in my potential, but he insisted on getting to know me on a personal level before offering me a role.”
“At the time, I was in a committed relationship and deeply in love with my boyfriend, so I couldn’t bring myself to do such a thing. The producer wasn’t pleased with my decision,” she added.
Years later, after gaining prominence as Ahoufe Patri, she unexpectedly crossed paths with the same producer again.
