Twin sisters and Afrobeat/Afro-soul/Afro-fusion music duo Patricia Delali Dake (Lali) and Trysha Wolali Dake (Lola) say they will cut off their signature red hair today, April 7, to call for unity in Ghana’s music scene.

The duo, known as Lali x Lola, announced this in a heartfelt press release shared on their social media page.

According to the twins, they are tired of the rivalry between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy dividing fans and artists alike.

“It’s not fashion, it’s for peace,” they wrote.

The duo hope this sparks a bigger push for collaboration, imagining a day when Ghana’s music giants share a stage without tension, opening doors for artistes like them.
