American-Ghanaian singer and songwriter Ama Serwah Genfi, popularly known as Amaarae, proudly represented Ghana by performing songs from other Ghanaian artists during her Coachella debut.
As the first Ghanaian artist to be officially listed for Coachella 2025, Amaarae didn’t just perform her own songs.
She also performed tracks like “Sore” by Yaw Tog and the Asakaa boys, and “Wengeze” by Eazzy, among others.
Amaarae took the stage yesterday, April 13, at 5:00 p.m. on the Gobi Tent stage.
What an amazing way to put Ghana on the global stage during your first Coachella performance!
With this bold and heartfelt show, Amaarae didn’t just make history , she made a statement: Ghana’s sound is here to stay.
