The sudden passing of Ghanaian influencer and celebrated female carpenter, Ama Endorsed, has sent shockwaves through social media, with tributes pouring in from fans and celebrities alike—including actress and media personality, Akuapem Poloo.

In an exclusive interview with Ghana Weekend, Poloo expressed her heartbreak and disbelief over Ama’s untimely death, describing it as both surreal and deeply personal.

“Ama was very healthy, and her demise shook me. I’m really scared now. I find myself watching my back,” Poloo said, her voice laced with emotion.

She shared how Ama’s presence in her life extended beyond admiration from afar. They shared a close friendship, and Ama even crafted all the furniture in Poloo’s room at no cost.

“All the furniture in my room was made by Ama, free of charge. She was always focused on her work and incredibly hardworking,” Poloo said.

“She looked very healthy, so when I heard about her sudden death, I couldn’t believe it. I didn’t believe it until I saw a few influential people I admire also sharing the news on their platforms.”

The news was especially difficult for Poloo, who had remained in contact with Ama even while away from the public scene during her pregnancy.

“We always kept in touch over the phone. Even though I was out of the scene for a while, she was there,” she noted.

“She wasn’t seen around most other influencers because she was always busy working. She was strong and healthy.”

Ama’s passing came just weeks after celebrating her birthday, purchasing a Range Rover, and opening a new showroom—milestones that made her death even more shocking to her friends and followers.

“It happened just a few weeks after she celebrated her birthday, bought herself a Range Rover, and opened a new showroom. It really shocked me. Now, I feel like I have to be extra cautious,” Poloo added.

Amid swirling rumors about the cause of death, Poloo remained cautious in her comments.

“Right now, I can’t really say it was slow poisoning because I’m not a doctor, and I wasn’t at her birthday. But for her to just disappear like that—it’s really scary. I’m not saying she was poisoned, but anything is possible.

It’s not fair for such a hardworking young woman to leave us like that. She was a good person, always smiling whenever you saw her.”

She advised Ama’s family to refrain from engaging in public speculation, urging them to leave the situation in divine hands.

“I urge the family to stay quiet and leave everything to God and Allah. All celebrities need to be cautious. You never know what’s happening behind the scenes. We need to protect ourselves and stay alert.”

Poloo also defended Ama against public speculation about the source of her wealth.

“Her work speaks for itself. With the caliber of people she worked with, she could afford everything she had. People should stop spreading things they don’t know about her.”

Though gone too soon, Ama Endorsed leaves behind a powerful legacy—as a trailblazing craftswoman, a social media icon, and an inspiration to young women striving to break barriers in male-dominated fields.
