Ghanaian businessman Ibrahim Mahama has generously offered to cover the medical expenses of Suzzy Pinamang, a Form 2 student at Adventist Senior High School, who was struck in the eye by a stray bullet during a confrontation between her colleagues.
Clement Kubi, a relative of the 16-year-old, confirmed in an exclusive interview with YEN.com.gh that Ibrahim Mahama decided to assist after learning about Suzzy’s condition.
On the evening of May 2, 2025, the family received a call from Mahama’s aide, who informed them of the philanthropist’s willingness to help Suzzy access urgent medical care.
As a result, Suzzy and her family are set to travel to Accra, where they will consult with a renowned ophthalmologist to determine the appropriate next steps for her treatment.
Ibrahim Mahama has earned widespread admiration for his philanthropic efforts and financial support for individuals in need of urgent medical assistance. Notably, he recently donated $115,000 to journalist Kofi Adoma, who required immediate eye surgery abroad.
This intervention comes as a great relief to Suzzy and her family, especially following a viral video in which she pleaded for Ibrahim Mahama’s help.
