Renowned international reggae artiste Ras Shiloh has announced his commitment to supporting the Cape Coast School for the Deaf and Dumb through both financial donations and material assistance.
The announcement was made during a press conference held at the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) headquarters as part of Ras Shiloh’s recent visit to Ghana.
The initiative is being undertaken in collaboration with MUSIGA, Mama Tee, and the African Unite Sound System a group dedicated to using music as a force for positive change in communities.
Speaking at the event, Ras Shiloh emphasised the importance of giving back and empowering underserved communities, especially individuals with disabilities.
“This is not just about charity, but about unity, love, and inclusion,” he stated. “Supporting the Deaf and Dumb School in Cape Coast is just the beginning.”
Representatives from MUSIGA expressed their appreciation for Ras Shiloh’s gesture, noting that his involvement underscores the powerful role music can play in fostering social responsibility and compassion across borders.
The collaboration aims to improve infrastructure and learning conditions at the school and raise awareness about the challenges faced by students with hearing and speech impairments.
