Popular Ghanaian YouTuber and content creator Kwadwo Sheldon has rejected an offer of help from dancehall artiste Shatta Wale following flooding at his home in Accra.
In a series of posts shared via his X (formerly Twitter) handle, Sheldon expressed his frustration, referencing a past encounter with Wale in the UK that did not go well.
He criticised what he sees as hypocrisy from the public, who now expect him to accept assistance from the same person who previously snubbed his attempt at reconciliation.
One of Sheldon’s posts read:
“You were all laughing when I approached him in the UK to sort things out and he ignored me. Today make I accept help from am cos he be Father Christmas? You people dey mad on this app… Aden help yɛ by force?”
His remarks have sparked widespread conversation on social media, with users split between those who believe he should accept help in times of crisis, and others who support his stance on self-respect and personal boundaries.
The incident comes in the wake of heavy rains that flooded several areas in Accra, including Sheldon’s residence, which he documented on social media.
