Renowned American rapper and songwriter Kiari Kendrell Cephus, popularly known as Offset, has deleted his Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) accounts following fan speculation and backlash over his son’s hairstyle.

The news was shared by Loren Lorosa, host of The Breakfast Club, during the show’s June 4, 2025 broadcast.

“Offset has now deleted his X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram accounts. His X account now pulls as ‘this account does not exist,’ and you can’t even go through his instagram,” Loren revealed.

According to her, the controversy stemmed from comparisons made between the hairstyle of Offset and Cardi B’s son, Wave, and that of American football wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

“There’s this photo of Offset and Cardi’s son,Wave and Stefon Diggs where people begin to point out that Wave’s hair is braided very similar to Stefon Diggs’s—People started joking about it and suggesting that Cardi B did it on purpose and it was a lot for Offset,” she explained.

Before deleting his account, Offset responded to the speculation and fan comments in a strongly worded post.

“When somebody dies for playing with my son, then they’re gonna call me a crash out. I don’t care how I look — trolling with my kid ain’t that,” he wrote.

The situation comes amid a public divorce between Offset and Cardi B, who filed for divorce in August 2024 after six years of marriage. She is seeking primary custody of their two children — 5-year-old Kulture, 2-year-old Wave, and was pregnant with their third child at the time of the filing.

In May 2025, Offset responded to the divorce petition by requesting spousal support. According to court filings obtained by TMZ, the Migos rapper filed an updated response in New Jersey’s Bergen County Superior Court, asking for an unspecified amount of alimony.

Adding fuel to the speculation, Cardi B and Stefon Diggs have recently been spotted together publicly, further igniting fan theories that Cardi may have intentionally styled Wave’s hair to resemble Diggs’. While neither Cardi nor Stefon has addressed the rumors, the online chatter appears to have deeply affected Offset, prompting his social media exit.
