Ghanaian Afro Roots icon Rocky Dawuni will headline the Afro-Pfingsten Festival in Switzerland on today, June 6 delivering his vibrant blend of Reggae, Highlife, and Afrobeats to the European stage.
Renowned for his dynamic performances and socially conscious lyrics, Rocky Dawuni’s set will amplify themes of unity and empowerment.
He’ll be joined by his stellar band, featuring legendary Ghanaian multi-instrumentalist and producer Kwame Yeboah.
This performance caps a milestone year for Dawuni. In November 2024, he earned his fourth Grammy nomination for Best Global Music Performance for his single “Rise,” a powerful anthem of resilience and collective action. The track is the lead single from his upcoming ninth studio album, with a new single slated for release this summer.
Beyond music, Dawuni’s impact is profound. In April 2025, he spoke at the 2nd Annual Future Forum during GRAMMYs on the Hill in Washington, D.C., addressing the need to protect artists’ rights in the age of AI.
As a UN Goodwill Ambassador for the Environment for Africa and through his Rocky Dawuni Foundation, he continues to champion advocacy and activism.
