Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture, John Dumelo made an appearance at the ongoing Channel One TV AgriFair at the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park, expressing strong support for the initiative and its role in promoting agribusiness and local food systems.
The AgriFair, which runs from June 20 to 22, is ‘The Biggest Exhibition and Sale of Fresh Farm Produce’ and has attracted farmers, agribusinesses, policy makers, and the general public from across the country.
The event offers a vibrant platform for showcasing Ghana’s agricultural potential and connecting farmers directly with consumers.

Speaking during his visit, Dumelo described the fair as a laudable initiative that demonstrates the growing importance of agriculture in national development.
He commended Citi FM and Channel One TV for creating a space that not only encourages the sale of fresh produce but also fosters innovation and knowledge sharing within the sector.

Dumelo, who is also known for his active involvement in farming, called for more sustained investment in agriculture, particularly for young people looking to enter the field.
