Four people are feared dead and several others injured after a vehicle transporting mourners to the burial of social media influencer and GH Kobby’s late girlfriend, Yaa Baby, was involved in a crash at the IPT Junction in Kumasi.
The mourners, clad in black and red funeral attire, were en route to the cemetery on Saturday, July 5, 2025, when the pickup truck they were traveling in overturned.
Videos circulating online show the overturned vehicle, with some survivors scrambling to safety while others were assisted by bystanders.
Yaa Baby tragically died on June 10, 2025, after she was shot in the left arm by GH Kobby.
He and two friends who were present at the time were arrested, though one of them, popularly known as Obolo, has since been released.
Some eyewitnesses have alleged that the driver of the pickup may have been intoxicated. However, the exact cause of the accident is yet to be officially determined.
