The family of late Stephen King Amoah, a 38-year-old officer with the Ghana Immigration Service, is calling on the Ghana Police Service to ensure swift justice after his tragic death.

Amoah went missing on July 3, 2025, after leaving home to meet a friend at Ashongman Estate who had promised to repay a debt. He never returned. His partially burnt body was found five days later at Abuom Junction near Kwabenya in Accra.

According to the family, a man named Bright Aweh has been arrested. Investigators believe he was the last person Amoah contacted and had invited him to the meeting.

Stephen Amoah leaves behind a wife and a four-year-old son.

Speaking in an interview on Thursday, July 10, Amoah’s nephew, Osei Mensah Lucky-Dan—who lived with him—shared that the case has been adjourned to July 23, 2025, at the Kwabenya Circuit Court.

“The court has adjourned the case to 23 July 2025, so we will be at Kwabenya Circuit Court on 23 July to plead with the court to prevail in Justice for my Late Uncle. My Uncle had no issues with anyone. He is of the jovial type. He is someone whom you can easily fall in love with when you see him.”
