Ghanaian media personality Samuel Atuobi Baah, popularly known as Sammy Flex, has spoken out following his reassignment as Media and Public Relations Manager in a major reshuffle of Shatta Wale’s management team.

Sammy Flex previously served as the Artiste Manager for the acclaimed dancehall artiste. The restructuring, announced by Shatta Wale via Facebook on July 22, 2025, is aimed at strengthening operations within the Shatta Movement and enhancing the brand’s public engagement.

In a video posted on Sammy Flex TV that same day, Sammy noted that “Ever since I joined the Shatta Movement team, many people who know me know my background as a journalist and PR person.”

“So when I was given the managerial position, I couldn’t just leave that [PR] aspect empty. I had to combine forces like Captain Planet.”

He explained that his initial focus as manager was to bring stability and reshape public perception of Shatta Wale.

However, as the brand continues to evolve, the workload has increased, necessitating a more structured team effort.

“One thing I believe is that the Shatta Movement job is not a one-man job,” he stated. “Those who are closer to it understand that you can’t do it alone. These people have always been around, playing different roles. Now, they’ve just been given clearly defined responsibilities to help the team operate more efficiently.”

The newly announced team members include:
• Juwaid Abdallah Sika – General Manager for Bookings and Requests
• Gifty Nkrumah – Road Manager
• Daniel Kwesi Kpingbi – Personal Assistant to Shatta Wale
• Solomon Ashong (Solash) – Regional Coordinator for Merchandising
• Kester Ashong Teye (Nawtyboi) and Stanley Dartey (Paq) – Music Production Team

The restructuring is widely seen as a strategic move to boost Shatta Wale’s visibility and streamline operations across key areas of his brand. With his strong background in journalism and media relations, Sammy Flex is expected to lead the PR front with renewed focus and professionalism.
