Lumba’s “Biribi Gyegye Wo” cassette resurfaces stirring nostalgic memories after his passing

Following the passing of Highlife legend Charles Kojo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, fans across the country and beyond continue to mourn the loss of a cultural icon whose music defined generations.

Amid the outpouring of tributes and reflections, a rare gem has resurfaced – the original cassette of Lumba’s classic song “Biribi Gyegye Wo.”

The throwback item was shared in a heartfelt Facebook post by veteran broadcaster Klaus Von Backustein, sparking a wave of nostalgia among fans.

The image of the well-preserved cassette tape instantly transported many back to an era when Lumba’s songs dominated airwaves, cassettes were prized possessions, and music was deeply personal.
