The second edition of the Accra Bar Show, Ghana’s premier Drinks and Hospitality Expo, has been launched in Accra with a call to celebrate creativity, culture, and innovation in the country’s evolving bar and hospitality sector.

Scheduled for August 8th -10th, 2025, this year promises three immersive days of innovation, education, and culture in mixology and hospitality.

Delivering the keynote address, Kojo Aidoo, founder of the Accra Bar Show, shared his vision for the Expo:

“The Accra Bar Show isn’t just an event; it’s an outcome of passion, dedication, and talent that thrives within our city’s bars and restaurants…It’s a space for seasoned professionals to make their mark, for rising stars to discover new flavours, techniques, and connections.”

He emphasised the significance of the Expo as more than a showcase, calling it a movement: “For years, I’ve dreamt of a platform that celebrates the vibrant spirit of Accra’s hospitality scene; the artistry of mixology, the innovation of our culinary minds, and the joy of a perfectly crafted experience.”

This year’s edition continues to position Accra as a key player on the African hospitality map, with curated masterclasses led by industry pioneers, thrilling mixology competitions, and immersive brand showcases designed to educate, entertain, and inspire.

The launch gathered a distinguished lineup, affirming robust public and private sector support: Benjamin Otoo of Fidelity Bank, a strategic partner supporting the event’s growth; Felix Otte, F&B Director at Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City Accra, reinforced the venue’s commitment to hospitality leadership; Charles Adu Gyamfi, President of the Ghana Tourism Federation, who highlighted tourism’s synergy with Ghana’s hospitality ecosystem and Caleb Cofie, Founder of the Service Excellence Foundation, reaffirmed the importance of industry standards.

A delegation from the Ghana Tourism Authority, led by Mr Hans Galloway, was present alongside Bright Asempa Tsadidey (Director of Corporate Affairs) and Mrs. Naa Ashiorkor Sam, Senior Officer for Public-Private Partnerships. Representing the Diaspora Affairs Directorate at the Office of the President, Loretta affirmed the show’s potential to connect Ghana with global communities through its vibrant bar culture. Top brands were represented by: Georgette Mensah, Jack Daniel’s / Marina Distribution, Nana Adjei Addo, Red Bull, Ezra, Amammere

Cultural stakeholders also made their presence felt through: The FESTAC Team, including Madam Grace Mumo (CEO) and Engineer Yinka Abioya (Chairman)

The Accra Bar Show 2025 aims to uphold Ghana as a pan-African hub for bar culture and hospitality excellence. It offers unparalleled opportunities for professionals to innovate, showcase products, and build critical relationships locally and internationally.
