The announcement was made on Monday, August 4, by a traditional delegation to the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.
The Ekuona family, led by elders and chiefs of Nsuta, presented traditional items as part of the rites, signifying their deep respect for the Golden Stool and the cultural protocols of Asanteman.

Daddy Lumba, who hails from Nsuta-Amangoase, was not only an icon in Ghanaian music but also a revered son of Asanteman. His contribution to the development of highlife music and his influence on generations of musicians earned him a place in the hearts of many across the country and beyond.

The Asantehene is expected to give his blessings for the final funeral rites, following which further arrangements will be announced by the family.
