Sean “Diddy” Combs’ legal and communications team faced further scrutiny after another spokesperson, Nicole Westmoreland, was forced to walk back remarks about potential talks with Donald Trump.
Appearing on CNN, Westmoreland initially said there had been “conversations with the Trump administration” regarding the Bad Boy Records founder. Pressed on specifics, she declined to name any individuals, stressing she was “not in the weeds” and that her focus was on preparing for the October 3rd trial.
Westmoreland acknowledged Trump was aware of Diddy’s past negative comments about him, but argued that “doing what’s right and fair” should outweigh personal grievances. She added, “I think being pardoned would be the right thing to do. So we’re hopeful.”
The comments, coming the same day Diddy’s lawyer clarified his Madison Square Garden remarks, have left observers questioning the coherence of the team’s public messaging ahead of sentencing.
