Ghanaian dancehall star Stonebwoy found himself at the centre of online ridicule after a video from his performance at Davido and Chioma’s wedding appeared to show him bending down during the set.
While some social media users speculated he was picking up dollar bills, his wife, Dr. Louisa Satekla has stepped forward to set the record straight.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Stonebwoy’s wife clarified that he was retrieving a valuable piece of jewellery.
“It’s so crazy how some people think. You can clearly see his diamond bracelet fall off and he bends to pick it up, but because of evil and mischief you choose to believe he picked $1??? Some people’s mindset really explains a lot about who they really are… smh 🤦🏽♀️,” she wrote.
Dr Satekla urged fans to put a stop to spreading false narratives, emphasising the importance of focusing on truth rather than fuelling baseless rumours.
