Renowned Ghanaian gospel musician, Empress Gifty Adorye has won the Artiste of the Year award at the 6th Ghana Music Awards USA 2025.
Delivering her acceptance speech amid tears on August 16, 2025, she thanked her fans, team, family, the media, and fellow musician Kuami Eugene for their support.
“Thank you, God of Agaga. He prepared a table before me in the presence of my enemies, and he anoints my hair with oil…Thank you to everybody who voted for me,” she said, also remembering her late mother: “I wish my mum was here.”
Her victory, which saw her surpass top artists like King Promise and King Paluta, has sparked widespread discussion among fans and industry players.
