Dennis Apusika, a youth activist from the Upper East Region, has successfully completed his 27 day, 785-kilometre walk from Bolgatanga to Accra in a bold campaign for the construction of a modern sports stadium in the region.
He climaxed his adventurous journey at the Black Star Square in Accra on Sunday, August 17, 2025, drawing attention to the long-standing call for improved sporting infrastructure in the Upper East.
The walk, which began on July 22, was not only a test of endurance but also a symbolic appeal to government and stakeholders to prioritise the establishment of a befitting sports facility in the region.
According to him, the proposed stadium would play a key role in developing young sporting talents and serve as a hub to boost tourism and economic activity in the area.
