Veteran Kumawood actor Kojo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win, has apologised to his colleagues in the film industry following recent verbal attacks directed at them.
In a video sighted by Ghana Weekend, on Wednesday August 20, the Wezzy Empire CEO expressed regret over his remarks, which were made while promoting his latest movie, Captain Ibrahim: The Last African Hero.
According to him, the outburst was fueled by the intense pressure of the film’s premiere and the lack of support he felt from some industry players.
“I am begging my loved ones. You all saw how I was struggling before I premiered my movie. People refused to show support but were quick to say negative things about me whenever I had issues. That is what made me react that way, because there was too much pressure on me,” he admitted.
Lil Win further explained that he had allowed his emotions to take over, leading to statements that offended some colleagues.
He appealed to those affected to forgive him, assuring them that he had turned over a new leaf and would not repeat such behaviour.
He also pledged not to respond to criticism regarding Captain Ibrahim: The Last African Hero or his upcoming project, A Journey to Africa.
By extending this apology, Lil Win hopes to mend strained relationships within the Kumawood fraternity and foster unity as he continues his journey in the film industry.
