The Economic and Organsed Crime Office (EOCO) has established bail conditions for Ghanaian dancehall artist Charles Nii Armah, widely known as Shatta Wale.
In a video posted by his media manager, Samuel Atuobi Baah, also known as Sammy Flex disclosed that the artiste’s legal team and management are diligently working to fulfill the bail requirements to secure his release by Thursday, August 21, 2025.
“Before proceeding with the case, EOCO has set a bail of ten million Ghana cedis (GHC 10 million) with two sureties. I assure you, the dancehall king’s management and legal team are working tirelessly to resolve this,” he stated.
Contrary to widespread reports, Flex clarified that the investigation centers on taxes related to Shatta Wale’s Lamborghini and the operations of his company.
Shatta Wale was detained by EOCO on Wednesday August 20 ) following an inquiry related to tax obligations on his yellow Lamborghini.
His management noted that “Mr. Mensah presented himself voluntarily at the EOCO offices this afternoon along with his lawyer Cephas Biyuo, to assist with investigations.”
