The comedy community is in mourning following the tragic death of veteran stand-up comedian Reggie Carroll, who was fatally shot in Southaven, Mississippi, on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.
Carroll, 52, was a well-known figure on the circuit, celebrated for his powerful stage presence and sharp observational humor.
According to the Southaven Police Department, officers were dispatched to a residence on Burton Lane in response to a report of a shooting.
