Efia Odo has shed light on her much-talked-about collaboration with Ghanaian singer Mr. Drew, clarifying that it was never a calculated publicity stunt.
According to her, the appearance of Mr. Drew in her ‘Take Me Home’ teaser was purely spontaneous.
“The funny thing is, Mr. Drew being in the video wasn’t premeditated. I was going somewhere and I saw him. We started vibing, and two days before shooting I hit him up to ask if he could be in it. He agreed, and that’s how it happened,” she explained in an interview with Ghana Weekend on Tuesday September 9.
The collaboration, however, sparked rumours that the two were romantically involved, something Efia Odo quickly dismissed.
“Every time Ghanaians see me with a guy, automatically I’m dating him. But no, Mr. Drew and I are just friends. We worked together professionally and it was great,” she emphasised.
Efia Odo maintained that her chemistry with Mr. Drew was simply artistic and should not be misinterpreted as anything beyond music.
