The funeral of the late Immigration Officer, Stephen King Amoah, was held on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at the SDA Church in Old Tafo, Ashanti Region. He was 38.
The solemn ceremony drew family, friends, colleagues, and sympathizers, all united in grief and calling for swift justice in the case surrounding his tragic death.
Amoah’s ordeal began on July 3, when he left home to meet a friend at Ashongman Estate who had called to repay a debt. He never returned. Five days later, his partly burnt body was discovered at Abuom Junction near Kwabenya in the Greater Accra Region, after he had been declared missing.
Police have since treated the incident as a murder case, leading to the arrest of two suspects. Bright Aweh, identified as the last person Amoah contacted before his disappearance, and Thomas Zigah, also known as Nii Dzaase, are both currently in police custody.
The Kaneshie District Court has adjourned the case to October 9, 2025, as investigations continue.
