Founder and Leader of the International God’s Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim, has dismissed social media claims that his wife, gospel singer Florence Obinim, is unhappy in their marriage.
In a video sighted by Ghana Weekend on Wednesday October 1, Bishop Obinim reacted to comments triggered by Florence’s current physical appearance, with some suggesting she looks thinner and may have undergone cosmetic procedures.
“I saw on TikTok that people are still talking about my wife. Nobody has stopped you from speaking about Florence Obinim, but keep our marriage out of it. We have been married for 21 years with three kids. We love and respect each other and we are happy,” he said.
The preacher stressed that neither he nor Florence is afraid of divorce but insisted that their bond remains strong.
He further clarified that Florence is financially independent, revealing that he has established businesses for her which earn about GH₵30,000 a month, and gifted her properties in Accra, Kumasi, and a 48-room hostel in Kenyasi.
Obinim also addressed long-standing questions about his fidelity. He admitted to past infidelity but said he has been faithful since 2017. “The last time I cheated was between 2016 and 2017. For the past eight years I have not cheated, I don’t have a girlfriend. That is my truth,” he declared.
Warning critics against spreading falsehoods, he added: “You can talk about us, but leave our marriage alone. If you speak against me, God will judge you. Florence is very precious to me, I love her. We are satisfied in our marriage.”
