Ghanaian highlife musician Kwabena Kwabena has finally confirmed that the long-awaited remix of his timeless hit song “Aso” is ready — and it features two of Ghana’s most celebrated artists, Stonebwoy and Kofi Kinaata.

Speaking in an interview with Kwame Dadzie on HitzFM on Monday October 6, the award-winning singer revealed that the remix is “all cooked and done” and will be released before the end of the year.

“Charlie, it’s all cooked and done,” Kwabena Kwabena said. “We are making preparations for its release. Of course, we’ll release it by all means before December.”

The highlife legend described the new version of Aso as a “masterpiece,” emphasising the effort his team is putting into its promotion.

“We are putting every promotional tool and everything together to actually come and serve the fans. It’s a masterpiece, matter of fact. It features two great giants — great artistes I have a lot of love and respect for. Big up yourself, the Bhim President, and big up yourself, Kofi Kinaata,” he said, confirming Stonebwoy and Kofi Kinaata as the featured acts.

Kwabena Kwabena also disclosed that this remix marks the beginning of a special celebration of his music career as he hits a remarkable 20 years in the industry.

“This is the first remix. You see, we’re celebrating 20 years, so it’s in order that there’ll be a couple of remixes. This is the first remix to hit the ground, and by all means, God willing, next year you’ll hear another remix,” he revealed.

Originally released two decades ago, Aso remains one of Kwabena Kwabena’s biggest songs and continues to resonate deeply with fans across generations for its soulful melody and emotional storytelling.

With Stonebwoy’s dancehall energy and Kofi Kinaata’s lyrical depth joining Kwabena Kwabena’s smooth vocals, the upcoming remix is already being hailed as one of the most anticipated Ghanaian collaborations of the year.
