The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has announced that the 2025 National Tourism Awards will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, at The Grand Arena, Accra International Conference Centre.
Held under the theme “Celebrating Ghanaian Ingenuity and Excellence in Tourism: The Black Star Experience,” this year’s ceremony will honour outstanding individuals and institutions whose innovation and leadership continue to shape Ghana’s tourism, hospitality, and creative industries.
Instituted in 1997, the National Tourism Awards remains the country’s flagship platform for celebrating distinction and dedication within the tourism ecosystem. The 2025 edition will recognise trailblazers whose creativity and resilience reinforce Ghana’s position as the heartbeat of African tourism.
The Special Guest of Honour for the evening will be Julius Debrah, Chief of Staff, with other dignitaries expected from the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, the diplomatic community, and the private sector.
Ahead of the event, Mrs. Maame Efua Houadjeto, Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority, explained that this year’s theme reflects Ghana’s rising confidence as a tourism destination built on creativity and originality.
“The Black Star Experience captures the soul of our nation ,bold, inventive, and full of promise,” she said. “Through this celebration, we honour the Ghanaian spirit that turns ideas into impact and passion into progress.”
Guests at the ceremony will be treated to rich cultural performances, artistic showcases, and world-class hospitality , a reflection of Ghana’s cultural pride and creative energy.
