Member of Parliament for Akuapem North, Samuel Awuku, has appealed to the public to invite and support the Akropong School for the Blind Choir at their events, describing the group as exceptionally talented and deserving of wider recognition.

According to him, giving the students opportunities to perform at special occasions would not only showcase their musical gifts but also help raise funds to support the school’s needs.

“We are hoping for you to invite them to any of your special locations. We know you have tried all the good ones in town, but try the best that is coming from the School for the Blind,” Mr Awuku said.

“That little invitation you extend to them, they come in to grace your occasion with their talented voices. And the little that you also give them when they’re going back will be a way of putting smiles on their faces.”

The MP made the appeal when he appeared on Channel One TV on Monday, November 11, together with the choir from the Akropong School for the Blind, who performed a medley of gospel songs.

He joined the students in singing and praised them for their determination and musical excellence, calling them “special guests” who continue to inspire through their talent.

“These are your wonderful students, your kids, your nieces, your nephews, your brothers, and the young ones from the Purple School for the Blind,” he noted. “Thanks to Channel One TV for offering them this platform to touch hearts wherever people are watching.”
