AgriFair 2025: Patrons and exhibitors call for monthly editions

The November edition of the AgriFair 2025 opened at the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park in Accra, drawing crowds of farmers, agribusiness operators, exhibitors, and consumers eager to explore fresh produce and agricultural innovations.

Organised by Channel One TV and Citi FM, the fair is running over three days, with Day One already seeing strong participation and enthusiastic engagement.

The event continues to promote its popular “farm-to-basket” model, allowing consumers to buy vegetables, fruits, fish, poultry, and livestock directly from farmers.

Many patrons praised the approach, noting that it offers fresher products at better prices, while exhibitors highlighted how the direct sales model improves their earnings by cutting out middlemen.

Beyond buying and selling, AgriFair 2025 serves as a networking hub for agritech companies, processors, input suppliers, financial institutions, and investors. Exhibitors said the timing, just ahead of the Christmas season, is ideal for planning supply arrangements and exploring business partnerships.

Several participants shared positive impressions on Day One. Jonas Adjei from the Animal Research Institute described the engagement as encouraging, while Akwasi Sekyere of Mangoline Farms noted steady interaction with buyers. Sarah Onu, a sales representative for Efie ne Efie, added that the fair’s publicity had boosted awareness of their products and contributed to early sales.

Visitors also appreciated the variety and learning opportunities. “The experience has been great,” said Clara Sey, praising the availability of experts and the diversity of produce.

Another patron, Samuel, expressed hope for more frequent editions, saying, “I wish this fair would happen every month. It makes it easy to compare prices and discover new products.” Families attending the fair said it was an educational outing.

With the fair still underway, exhibitors and visitors alike are already calling for more regular editions, highlighting the potential of AgriFair as a platform to boost trade, learning, and collaboration across Ghana’s agricultural value chain.

AgriFair 2025 is powered by Channel One TV and Citi FM, with sponsorship from the Horticulture Business Platform (HBP), Development Bank Ghana (DBG), Legacy Crop Improvement Centre (LCIC), GIRSAL, Ghana EXIM Bank, and Agri-Impact, with support from Twellium Industrial Company Limited.
