Brain Fitness Centre Africa convened an insightful gathering of leading media personalities and distinguished guests for a powerful discussion on men, their emotions, and the often-overlooked struggles they face.

The event, themed “Real Men, Real Emotions,” highlighted the pressures men navigate daily and the importance of supporting their mental well-being.

Held at the British Council in Accra, the programme explored the factors that shape men’s behaviour and the societal expectations that often compel them to mask vulnerability. A special session on these behavioural influences was moderated by Amishaddai Ofori, with contributions from Henry Osabutey and Apostle Cobi Washington, owner of Chose Rehab Centre. Together, they unpacked the realities behind the “strongman” narrative and the emotional burdens men often carry in silence.

Media personality PY Addo Boateng led another session featuring Kobby Kyei, Godwin Namboh, and other resource persons who discussed men’s mental health from media, societal, and cultural perspectives. Their conversation underscored the importance of creating supportive environments where men can openly express their struggles without fear of judgment.

The event climaxed with renowned businessman Prince Kofi Amoabeng, who shared profound insights into the emotional and mental challenges men experience, drawing from real-life encounters and personal reflections. His contribution added depth to the conversation and reinforced the urgency of prioritizing men’s mental well-being.

The event reaffirmed Brain Fitness Centre Africa’s commitment to promoting mental fitness and raising awareness of the emotional challenges men encounter as they navigate work, family, and societal expectations.
