The University of Media, Arts and Communications (UniMAC) has successfully held its 2025 graduation ceremony, marking a milestone moment for hundreds of students who have completed their academic journeys.

The colorful event took place on Friday November 28 at the university’s South Legon campus, drawing families, friends, faculty, and industry leaders who gathered to celebrate the achievements of the graduating class.

The atmosphere was filled with pride and excitement as graduates donned their gowns and sashes, capturing memories with loved ones before taking their turns on stage. The ceremony highlighted not only academic excellence but also the resilience and dedication that shaped the students’ years of study.

Several outstanding performers were recognised for their exceptional work. Nathaniel Otoo was awarded Best Journalism Student, while Best Print Student went to Salomey Oteng. Many others were acknowledged for their excellence across various departments and schools within the university.

The highlight of the day was the announcement of the Overall Best Student, Joana Nhyira Adu Amoane from UniMAC–Institute of Film and Television (IFT), who graduated with an impressive CGPA of 3.99. Her achievement drew loud applause from the audience.

In her acceptance speech, Joana expressed deep gratitude to God, her family, lecturers, and colleagues, acknowledging the support system that carried her through her academic journey. She encouraged her fellow graduates to “embrace the opportunities ahead with courage and creativity,” reminding them that the world of media and communications thrives on passion and innovation.

The ceremony featured musical performances, inspirational messages from university leaders, and emotional moments as students walked across the stage to receive their certificates. Proud parents cheered, cameras flashed nonstop, and graduates celebrated the end of one chapter and the beginning of another.

The 2025 UniMAC graduation ceremony was nothing short of memorable — a beautiful celebration of academic success, personal growth, and the bright futures awaiting the next generation of communicators, journalists, filmmakers, and media professionals.
