2Baba’s former manager confirms London arrest

Kaka Igbokwe, the former manager of music icon Innocent Idibia a.k.a. 2Baba and son of the late legend Christy Essien-Igbokwe,  has officially confirmed that the trending video showing 2Baba’s arrest in London after an altercation with his pregnant wife, Natasha Osawaru, is authentic.

The confirmation contradicts 2Baba’s initial denial of the incident, which occurred in October 2025.

Speaking on Daddy Freeze’s Instagram Live session on Monday evening, Igbokwe, who was part of the London tour team and on the same flight as the couple, stated that “everything you had the couple’s face-off was true.”

Igbokwe recounted how the argument unfolded at London’s Gatwick Airport, stating that Natasha Osawaru, who is also an Edo State House of Assembly lawmaker, became upset when she felt 2Baba abandoned her after they landed, strolling away with fans who ushered him into a shop.

He said when the “African Queen” crooner realised his wife was left behind, he hurriedly ran back to her.

However, Igbokwe claimed that Natasha lashed out at 2baba, leading to the involvement of the police, who subsequently arrested and handcuffed the singer.

The arrest and the surrounding drama originally surfaced after 2Baba missed a scheduled concert on October 2, 2025. At the time, the singer denied reports of an arrest and released a video explaining his absence was due to a “medical emergency.”

The controversy resurfaced after blogger Tosin Silverdam posted what he described as new evidence -a video clip – on Instagram and X on December 1, 2025, purporting to show 2Baba being arrested at the airport.

The caption claimed: “Video of Tuface Idibia Being Arrested by the Police in the UK After an Alleged Altercation with His Wife Natasha… The Video Is Finally Out.”

Screenshots from the clip shared by commentators appear to show officers speaking with 2Baba outside a store before escorting him out of the building. Silverdam also posted a separate clip of the argument, suggesting Natasha was “jealous of 2Baba getting all the attention.”
