High Court orders filing of plea bargain terms in Nana Agradaa Case

The High Court in Accra has instructed all parties involved in the case of Patricia Asieduaa, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, and her co-accused to file the terms of a proposed plea bargain ahead of the next court sitting.

The Court directed that the agreement be submitted at least three clear days before the adjourned date of December 16, 2025.

During Tuesday’s proceedings (December 2), prosecutors indicated their intention to apply for a bench warrant for the second accused. However, defence counsel countered, explaining that they had not been served with the hearing notice.

Counsel for Nana Agradaa informed the Court that discussions with the Office of the Attorney-General regarding a possible plea agreement were “far advanced,” prompting a request for a short adjournment. The prosecutor confirmed that the complainant, Emmanuel Appiah Fumum, had been part of the ongoing discussions and was present in court.

The presiding judge subsequently ordered the Court Registry to ensure proper service of the hearing notice on the second accused’s lawyer before the next sitting.

This case stems from allegations that Nana Agradaa formerly a fetish priestess and now an evangelist broadcast nude images of Pastor Emmanuel Appiah Fumum, popularly known as Osofo Biblical, on her television station and social media platforms without his consent.

Prosecutors say the images were shown during a live programme where panelists mocked the complainant, an act believed to violate provisions of the Cybersecurity Act, 2020 (Act 1038), which prohibits the non-consensual sharing of intimate images.

Nana Agradaa, who is currently serving a 15-year prison sentence in an unrelated false pretence conviction, was present in court.

Her lawyers also raised concerns about recent media interviews granted by the complainant, alleging that he made comments about Nana Agradaa’s condition in custody. The judge advised prosecutors to caution the complainant against making such public statements while the case remains before the court.
