The Musician’s Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) is set to host the She Rhythms Festival, on Friday, December 5, and Saturday, December 6, at Alliance Française in Accra.
This dynamic festival shines a spotlight on Ghana’s top female music artistes and emerging talent, celebrating the rhythm and power of women in the music industry.
The two-day event features stellar performances from acclaimed artistes including Efya, U.S based Kim Poole, Lipsticks Band, Delassie, Aklerh, Lamisi, Obaaku Papapaa, Lady P.J, Veronica Quaye, Maya Blu, Lali and Lola, and many others. Festival-goers can expect a rich mix of soulful melodies, vibrant beats, and inspiring voices that showcase the diversity and creativity of Ghanaian women in music today.
MUSIGA President Bessa Simons had this to say, “MUSIGA invites music lovers, industry professionals, and the general public to join us in this empowering festival that champions women’s voices and talents in Ghana’s vibrant music scene.”
He noted, “She Rhythms Festival will showcase the amazing talents of our women and add to the amazing December in Gh experiences as well as the Black Star Experience.”
In addition to live performances, a workshop will take place on Saturday, designed to equip participants with insights into current trends shaping the music business. Industry experts will share knowledge and practical tips to help musicians navigate and thrive in today’s evolving music landscape.
Adding to the cultural vibrancy, there will be a special traditional performance by the Susuma Cultural Troupe, offering festival attendees a unique experience that honors Ghana’s rich heritage through dance and music.
The She Rhythms Festival is in collaboration with Alliance Francaise, Accra with support from the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts and Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) and powered by RAM Concepts.
