The mother of self-styled prophet and content creator, Evans Eshun, popularly known as Ebo Noah, has made a heartfelt public appeal to President John Dramani Mahama, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), and other influential figures in the country, calling for leniency after her son was remanded into police custody.

In a video sighted by Ghana Weekend on Monday January 5, the elderly woman pleaded for forgiveness on her son’s behalf, insisting that he did not fully understand the consequences of his actions at the time he made the controversial claims that sparked public concern.

According to her, Ebo Noah’s conduct may have been influenced by economic hardship, including unemployment, as well as the pressure to create viral content on TikTok for financial gain. She suggested that these circumstances may have compelled him to make statements that eventually drew nationwide attention and panic.

She further dismissed claims that her son was building multiple arks, stressing that he does not possess the financial capacity to embark on such an undertaking. The elderly woman also refuted suggestions that Ebo Noah is mentally unstable, maintaining that he is of sound mind.

Appealing for compassion, she urged authorities to pardon her son for the fear and confusion his messages caused, describing his actions as a mistake rather than a deliberate attempt to mislead the public.

Ebo Noah’s arrest and subsequent remand have generated intense public debate, with many Ghanaians calling for accountability, while others argue for mercy. His mother’s plea has now added a human and emotional dimension to the ongoing discussion surrounding the case.

Ebo Noah recently came under public scrutiny after making controversial claims on social media that sparked widespread fear and debate, drawing the attention of security agencies.

He was remanded into police custody for two weeks after his appearance at the Adenta Circuit Court on Friday, January 2, 2026.
