Content creator and popular Ghanaian TikToker, Ekow Black, has sparked widespread concern online after posting what many have described as a suicidal note on his official Snapchat page, following the resurfacing of a video allegedly showing him assaulting a young woman.

The video, which began circulating again on social media platforms on January 14, reportedly shows Ekow Black in a physical altercation with a lady identified by some social media users as his former girlfriend.

In response, Ekow Black took to Snapchat to address the situation, stating that the video was an old recording and that the matter had been resolved long ago. He expressed regret over his actions at the time, apologised to the public, and maintained that the incident does not reflect who he is today.

However, subsequent posts on his Snapchat page suggested that the issue may have taken a new legal turn. Ekow indicated that the matter had been reported and was now before a judicial court in Adenta, following the video’s re-emergence online. As at now, neither Ekow Black nor the lady involved has released an official statement addressing the alleged court proceedings.

Hours later, the tiktoker shared a series of emotionally charged posts that alarmed followers. In one of the messages, he suggested he was overwhelmed by the situation, a post many interpreted as a suicidal note. His final update on Snapchat showed him in what appeared to be a hospital setting, captioned, “Fck, I had to go.”

The posts have since triggered intense conversations across social media, with users questioning the circumstances surrounding the video, the timing of its resurfacing, and the impact of online backlash on mental health. Others have called for due process while urging the public to avoid harassment and speculation.

As the situation continues to unfold, many Ghanaians and fellow content creators are calling for calm, empathy, and responsible discourse, particularly given the serious issues of domestic violence allegations and mental health involved.
