A passenger on board a flight with the Minister for the Interior, Alhaji Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak, has taken to social media to praise the minister for following normal airport protocols without using special privileges due to his position.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Kwame Sarpong Asiedu recounted that he was on the last flight from Kumasi when he noticed the Interior Minister on board.
According to him, the minister went through the same process as every other passenger.
He boarded the shuttle bus to the aircraft with the other passengers and again used the bus upon arrival in Accra.
He further stated that upon arrival, the minister went through the normal arrival procedures with a knapsack on his back and exited through the regular arrival route.
He noted that there were no sirens, no bodyguards, and no special treatment describing the minister simply as “Muntaka being Muntaka.”
Kwame Sarpong Asiedu concluded that the gesture spoke volumes, adding that humility is attractive and admirable.
