Papa Shee, a spokesperson for Akosua Serwaa, the widow of the late highlife icon Daddy Lumba, has announced plans for a second funeral ceremony to celebrate the life and legacy of the legendary musician.
According to Papa Shee, the event titled “The Celebration of the Life of Daddy Lumba” is scheduled to take place on March 28 and 29.
The ceremony is expected to bring together family members, industry colleagues, fans, and well-wishers to honour the immense contribution Daddy Lumba made to Ghana’s music industry.
Daddy Lumba, widely regarded as one of Ghana’s greatest highlife musicians, left an indelible mark on the country’s cultural landscape with his timeless songs and influential career spanning several decades. His music continues to resonate across generations, solidifying his status as a national treasure.
