Fiifi Coleman Productions on February 6, 2026, officially met the press to launch its upcoming stage play titled “I Told You So,” setting the tone for what promises to be a major theatrical production.
The stage play is an adaptation of the original film released in 1970 and directed by Egbert Adjesu and seeks to relive its iconic moments by translating the story into a rich and engaging theatrical experience for both old and new audiences.
The production features an impressive lineup of notable Ghanaian talents, including Gyedu Blay Ambolley, Fred Amugi, Clemento Suarez, Mr. Beautiful, Ken Fiati, Wofa Kay, and content creator Deaconess Abokomah, alongside several emerging actors making their stage debut.
Present at the media launch was veteran Ghanaian filmmaker Kwaw Ansah, who was part of Egbert Adjesu’s original production crew as a set designer and is also widely regarded as a veteran actor.
The event also attracted other high-profile personalities from the creative arts industry, highlighting the cultural significance of the revival.
During the press engagement, Fiifi Coleman used the opportunity to announce an agreement with the National Theatre, led by its Executive Secretary, Henry Herbert Malm, reinforcing a shared commitment to promoting theatre and preserving Ghana’s storytelling heritage.
“I Told You So” will be staged at the National Theatre in Accra from March 5 to March 8, 2026, offering audiences a chance to experience a classic Ghanaian story reimagined for the modern stage.
