Ghanaian musician J Derobie has disclosed that a collaboration with Jamaican dancehall sensation Popcaan is on the horizon, exciting fans of both creatives.
Speaking to GhanaWeb’s Patience Adu on Tuesday, February 17, during one of Popcaan’s listening sessions, J Derobie confirmed that the collaboration is already in the works.
“A collaboration is in the works. And since God is alive, it is going to happen,” J Derobie said confidently.
When asked about upcoming projects, J Derobie hinted at more music releases and events in 2026.
“Since we are working and we are on the move, expect more singles. Go and check the project out, Firm After All, waves 1, 2 and 3. Definitely, we are going to host our own event. Since we are on the road, working and all that, it’s going to happen, definitely,” he shared.
Looking ahead to 2026, the musician disclosed a focus on singles and collaborations.
“2026, I am just doing more singles and features this year. That is what I am doing,” he added.
Fans are now eagerly anticipating the J Derobie–Popcaan collaboration, which promises to merge Ghanaian and Jamaican sounds in a fresh and exciting musical experience.
