The Tiwa Savage Music Foundation has partnered with the Berklee College of Music to bring world-class music education to Lagos, Nigeria, for the first time.
The programme, scheduled from April 23rd–26th, 2026, promises to provide Africa’s emerging talent with invaluable hands-on experience in the music industry.
Spearheaded by Berklee alumna Tiwa Savage (PDM ‘07), the initiative, titled Berklee in Nigeria: Tiwa Savage Intensive Music Program, is part of the renowned Berklee on the Road series. The programme aims to equip budding artistes with the skills and insights needed to navigate opportunities on and off the stage.
Over four days, participants will engage in workshops, masterclasses, and interactive sessions designed to help them refine their craft, understand the music business, and explore innovative ways to shape the future of African music.
Tiwa Savage expressed her excitement about the partnership, emphasising the importance of nurturing local talent and creating platforms that connect African artists to global music education and opportunities.
This collaboration marks a milestone for music education in Nigeria, offering a unique opportunity for young creatives to learn from one of the world’s leading music institutions while being mentored by one of Africa’s most influential artists.
