After completing eight months of a revised custodial term, former fetish priestess-turned-evangelist Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, widely known as Nana Agradaa, has been discharged from the Nsawam Prison.
Her release marks the end of a high-profile legal episode that drew significant public attention.
She has since reunited with her husband and family, with her husband Asiamah announcing the news in a Facebook post on Tuesday, March 3, stating, “Thank God my wife is finally home.”
Nana Agradaa is expected to fellowship with members of her church later in the day, which will serve as her first public appearance since regaining her freedom.
She was initially sentenced to 15 years’ imprisonment on July 3, 2025, after being convicted of defrauding by false pretence and charlatanic advertising. Her legal team appealed the ruling, arguing that the sentence was excessive.
On review, the Amasaman High Court reduced the sentence to 12 calendar months describing the original punishment as harsh.
Her release was granted in accordance with Ghana’s remission policy, having served two-thirds of the revised term.
