Social media influencer Ama Burland has shared how she battled suicidal thoughts after fake nude images of her went viral online in 2019.
In an interview with Okay FM on Wednesday, April 1, Ama disclosed that media personality Nana Aba Anamoah played a crucial role in helping her through that difficult period.
According to her, the incident marked her first major public scandal, leaving her emotionally overwhelmed and struggling to cope.
“When the 2019 incident happened, Nana Aba called me. It was my first time being involved in a scandal, and I was overwhelmed to the point of considering ending my life,” she recounted.
Ama disclosed that Nana Aba stayed by her side throughout the ordeal, prioritising her wellbeing above everything else.
“She was ready to do everything for me. She called me and spent the whole day with me. She wasn’t even concerned about whether I was the one in the video or not… all she cared about was that I stayed alive,” she said.
The influencer also expressed deep appreciation to Nana Aba Anamoah for her unwavering support, describing her as instrumental to both her personal recovery and career growth.
“I would do anything for Nana Aba Anamoah for free because she has been very pivotal in my career… I would never charge her for anything,” Ama added.
