The Gomoa Easter Carnival delivered a vibrant showcase of culture, music, and community spirit, as Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus brought joy and excitement to the people of Gomoa and beyond.

Spanning Thursday, April 2 to Sunday, April 5, the multi-day celebration kicked off with a lively bonfire night, setting the tone for an unforgettable experience.

The atmosphere quickly came alive as folk music group Kwampa captivated audiences with their performance. At the same time, energetic Jama sessions led by the University of Ghana Vandals added a youthful and electric vibe to the festivities.

Attendees were also treated to a rich display of creativity, music and cultural artistry throughout the event.

Traditional elements were at the heart of the carnival with Borborbor dancing and cultural showcases highlighting Ghana’s diverse heritage.

The event also featured a colourful fashion show that brought together local designers and notable personalities.

Among those who graced the runway were Deputy CEO of the Ghana Tourism Authority, Abeiku Santana and MP Kwame Asare Obeng, alongside other distinguished guests, all celebrating Ghanaian fashion and creativity.

Music lovers were not left out as top Ghanaian artistes delivered thrilling performances across the three-day celebration.

The stage hosted an impressive lineup, including Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, Kofi Kinaata, Sista Afia, Keche, and S3fa, all of whom kept the crowd energised with electrifying performances.

The grand finale saw Shatta Wale deliver a resounding performance that perfectly climaxed the celebration leaving fans in awe and bringing the event to a memorable close.

As curtains fell on this year’s edition, the Gomoa Easter Carnival firmly placed the region in the national spotlight, reinforcing its growing reputation as a key cultural and entertainment hub.

With renewed energy and excitement among residents and visitors alike, expectations are already building for an even bigger and better edition next year.
