The European Union in Ghana has officially launched a week-long Sustainability Ride aimed at promoting environmental awareness and advancing Ghana’s transition toward a clean and green economy.
The initiative which runs from April 12 to April 18 brings together EU Ambassadors in Ghana who are embarking on a symbolic bicycle journey from Tamale in the Northern region to Accra.
The ride spans seven regions and passes through six regional capitals underscoring a nationwide commitment to sustainability.
Throughout the journey the ambassadors are scheduled to engage with traditional leaders including chiefs as well as government officials and key stakeholders.
These interactions will focus on discussions around environmental sustainability climate action and community-driven solutions.

Tree planting exercises will also form a core part of the campaign reinforcing the message of ecological responsibility.
The Sustainability Ride is designed to inspire collective action toward keeping Ghana clean while promoting policies and practices that support a greener future.

It also highlights the importance of partnerships between international organizations local authorities and communities in addressing environmental challenges.
The initiative will climax on April 18 at the iconic Black Star Square where activities will culminate in a final event celebrating the journey and its impact.

Through this campaign European Union Ghana continues to demonstrate its commitment to sustainable development and environmental stewardship across the country.
