Founder of Accra-based retail exhibition Porials Pitch, Dulcie Boateng, has responded to critics questioning the GH₵10,000 fee charged for vendor stands at her upcoming event.
In a video sighted by GhanaWeekend on Wednesday, April 15, Dulcie Boateng explained that the pricing reflects a deliberate strategy aimed at ensuring vendors make significant sales, noting that some critics do not fully understand the vision behind the event.
“A lot of people do not share that same vision… if they did, they wouldn’t be asking why we charge GH₵10,000 for a stand,” she said.
Boateng emphasised that the event is structured to attract a large number of ready-to-buy patrons, creating opportunities for vendors to maximise profits.
“Thousands of people will be here… and it is up to you to make sure they do not leave without buying,” she urged vendors.
She further encouraged participants to stay focused and take advantage of the platform.
“We want transactions at every stand… this is not a random event; it is specifically designed for shoppers,” she added.
Porials Pitch is a retail and networking event that brings together entrepreneurs, small business owners, and consumers, offering a platform for brands to showcase products, drive sales, and connect directly with a targeted market.
