King Promise has opened up about his long-standing friendship with Nigerian artiste Mr Eazi, disclosing that their bond has endured both strong highs and challenging lows over the years.

Speaking in an interview on 3FM on Wednesday, April 15, King Promise disclosed that despite being best friends for over 13 years, there was a period when they did not speak for as long as two years.

Responding to a question about how they have managed to maintain their friendship over such a long time, he admitted that their relationship has not always been smooth.

“We went like two years without speaking because we were angry,” King Promise disclosed.

Pressed further on what might have caused such a long silence between them, the ‘Terminator’ hitmaker emphasised that disagreements are a natural part of any close relationship.

“Listen, we’ve known each other for about 13 years. Sometimes we speak almost every day of the week, and sometimes we go weeks without speaking. But whenever we speak, it’s amazing, it’s a link-up,” he explained.

According to him, their friendship mirrors what many people experience in their personal relationships.

“We go through what every friendship goes through. We have arguments, we have disagreements, but at the end of the day, the love is there,” he said.

King Promise added that, regardless of any misunderstandings, they both understand the importance of showing up for each other when it truly matters.

“Even if we are fighting and he needs to call me, or I need to call him, we’re going to get past whatever’s happening,” he stated.

The singer’s comments highlight the resilience of their bond, showing that while conflicts are inevitable, mutual respect and understanding have kept their friendship intact over the years.
