Medikal: I am still cool with Fella makafui

Ghanaian rapper Medikal has opened up about his personal life, addressing public scrutiny surrounding his past marriage and his current relationship with his new partner, Eazzi.

In a video shared by BBC News Pidgin on Friday, April 17, the award-winning artiste said being in the public eye makes it difficult to keep relationships private, as fans and social media often amplify his personal affairs.

“People put a lot of things on who I date. Today they’ll say you’re with this person, tomorrow another. But me, when I love somebody, I don’t know how to hide it,” he explained.

According to him, his openness about relationships is often misunderstood, but it stems from his inability to “fake” emotions or keep significant parts of his life away from the public.

“I happen to be a public figure, so anything out there — if I go on a date, people will see it. Sometimes I’m not even planning to put it out, but fans will capture it,” he added.

Medikal also disclosed that despite the changes in his personal life, he maintains a cordial relationship with his ex-wife, Fella Makafui, and believes both of them are in a better place.

“We are cool. She’s in a good place… I’m also with my new woman, we are chilling. Life happens — sometimes things go this way or that way,” he said.
