Kumawood actor Agya Koo has dismissed growing speculation linking Kennedy Agyapong to his newly formed political group, The Base Movement.
The clarification follows Agya Koo’s high-profile visit to Accra, where he officially initiated processes to register the movement as a political party and embarked on a campaign drive through the Kwame Nkrumah Circle to rally public support.
In a video shared on his official Instagram page on Tuesday, April 21, Agya Koo was emphatic that Kennedy Agyapong has no current affiliation with the movement.
“Kennedy Agyapong has not even thought about supporting us in any way. He made it clear in his concession speech that he remains with the NPP and has given no indication to us, The Base leaders, of any intention to join,” he stated.
He further explained that once the party has built a strong presence across all sixteen regions, a leader will then be chosen to steer its affairs.
